Congratulations to Jack Collins on his recent promotion to be Sales Team Leader
I am sure you would all like to join us in congratulating Jack Collins, on his recent promotion to become Team Leader.
Jack joined BtL in July 2011 as our first sales apprentice, graduating and being offered a full time position a year later. Since then Jack has been in various roles starting with Outbound Telesales and progressing through to Junior Account Manager, Senior Account Manager and most recently Sales Team Leader.
“During my time at BtL I have been given the opportunity to develop and hone a number of different skills including organisation, communication, project management & teamwork.
My role over the years has encompassed everything from basic lead generation through to running high-level sales pitches both independently and as part of a team supporting our Sales Director.”
Prior to Jack’s appointment as Sales Team Leader he took part in the mentoring programme, offering support, training and advice as part of BtL’s on-going apprenticeship scheme.
“Having started as a sales apprentice myself, it has been especially rewarding working with new members of the team and helping them learn and develop over their first year at BtL.”
Jack seemed a natural choice for our Sales Team Leader, and it was more a case of formalising the role he already played within the team.
“I am very optimistic about my new role and I’m looking forward to finding out what the future has in store!”
In his spare time Jack enjoys reading, playing with his pet hedgehog and rock climbing. He’s also an avid gamer and describes himself as a fan of anything with an ‘on’ button.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
My biggest achievement so far would have to be from my previous job. I was promoted to a Team Leader of my department and was the broadband expert of the store. This meant I had the mentor my colleagues on how to sell broadband and what was the best deal. I would also be given incentive targets for the store from Virgin Media. As a team leader, I would have to guide my team in morning briefings and manage targets through-out the day..
