We are delighted to announce the appointment of Luke England to the role of Sales Director. Luke joined BtL in 2009 after graduating in Accounting and Finance from Portsmouth University. Right away he quickly demonstrated his ability to find creative, cost-effective solutions for our clients and was soon to be our most successful business generator. He has always seen the bigger picture, looking to develop the team around him and was promoted to Sales Manager in 2015 where he has overseen continued growth in margin-erosion market.
The new post of Sales Director recognises the valuable contribution Luke has made thus far to our business growth and looks forward to his input in a more strategic role where we expect him to be influential in shaping our future commercial strategies.
“Even in tough markets there are opportunities for us and our clients, we see ICT as an area that can improve performance and generate an ROI where others mislabel it as simply a utility”. Luke adds that “my longevity at BtL reflects that our goals reflect my own. The client has always been core to our decision-making but the chance to take the lead on some of the wider projects is an exciting one.”
BtL’s Managing Director, Robert Lamden, remembers meeting Luke at a Pareto Law open day “He stood out then as an intelligent leader with great potential. Luke was not short of offers but fortunately made the right decision and joined us at BtL. Over the following years he out-performed much more experienced peers. His ability to put customer and BtL first over short-term personal gain has led to his appointment as our first Sales Director.”
In his spare time, Luke takes an interest in a diverse range of sports and attends sporting events whenever the opportunity arises. A keen golfer, playing off a 14 handicap at Bearwood Lakes, as well as skiing in the wintertime. Luke also enjoys entertaining, socialising, eating out, and the occasional trip to the cinema, theatre or music venue.
